Over the last 15 years he's seen it all, so he's prepared for even the most difficult delivery. He can manage both normal and high-risk pregnancies, pain management during delivery, natural childbirth, multiple births, cesarean section, vaginal birth after cesarean and more. In managing high-risk pregnancies, Dr. Mikel will coordinate care with a team of perinatologists and neonatal specialists, if needed.
Dr. Mikel offers the skill and experience you expect from a board-certified obstetrics specialist. He works closely with the parents to create an individualized birth plan and does his best to adhere to it with the ultimate goal being both a healthy baby and happy parents. Prior to your delivery, his prenatal care and ultrasound services ensure your baby's good health in the womb. And afterward, as your body recovers, his postnatal services include monitoring both your physical and your emotional health.
When the big day arrives, Dr. Mikel and his team will manage your labor. He utilizes both traditional natural childbirth methods and works with an excellent board-certified anesthesiologist who can administer epidermal anesthesia.

Above and beyond his many years of training and experience, he has also learned a lot from the pregnancies of his wife, Giselle.
